Why a lesson like this? Mankind has been separated from his creator who has put a plan in place for mankind to get right with him and time is running out.
With everything made comes a manual giving instructions-The creator has given man the life manual called the bible.
2 Corinthians 5:18
And all things are of God who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given us the ministry of reconciliation.
Reconciliation = the restoration of friendly relations, reuniting, bringing back together again, resolution, settlement, mending, harmony.
Ministry = A government department headed up by a minister which has many misters employed to carry out the work of serving and in the biblical sense, the church, the government of God with Christ Jesus at it’s head and the ministers who serve, some are flesh and blood beings some are spirit beings who are the angels.
Angels along with God are spirit beings.
Amos 3:7 (1346)
The Lord God will do nothing, but revealeth his secret unto his servant the prophets.
The secret things belong to the Lord our God but those things which are revealed belong unto us and our children forever that we may do all the words of this law.
2 Peter 1:19-21
We have a more solid evidence in the prophets from which we get knowledge. There is no private interpretation of the scriptures (Genesis to Malachi) The prophecies didn’t come by man, God moved man to write them.
Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
Settled, ratified, nothing can be added to or taken away.
The bible is split into two parts which people call the old and the new testament, but the correct term should be the first and the second covenants.
The first covenant (agreement between two or more parties) was written in paleo Hebrew which is a pictorial language like Chinese writing called hieroglyphics and has many symbols. Some parts have also Aramaic, this covered the books of the bible from Genesis to Malachi
The New Covenant (new testament) was written in Koine Greek with some Aramaic words and covers from Matthew to Revelation and testifies to what is already written in the first covenant which is why it is called a testament.
Genesis 1:1-31 Blue print
In the Hebrew the word for God is Elohim which is a uni plural word meaning more than one in the God Head-chapter one is the blueprint and in Genesis 2 He goes to work.
Genesis 2:1-3, 4-7
God set the seventh day aside (sanctified) before he brought man into existence. This day represents the millennium reign of Christ when he returns.
Man made from the dust of the ground, the breath which immobilizes us is also called a spirit because we can’t see it. With this breath in him man became a living soul. Medical Experts tell us that the metals found in the earth are found in the human body.
Let’s see what happens when the breath is taken away.
If God takes back his spirit/breath, man returns to the dust.
His breath/spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (obey the word of God)
Man shall live not just by physical food but every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (spiritual food) (Deuteronomy 8:3)
Genesis 2:8-9, 15-25
There were two other trees in the garden of Eden that didn’t grow out of the ground. Man is free to communicate with The Tree of Life and live forever but he is not to communicate with the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil or he will die. They are spiritual fruit trees who give information, The Tree of life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil
This serpent was more subtle (tricky) who spoke to the woman (snakes don’t talk so let us investigate)
The first war started in heaven when an angel persuaded a third of the angels to rebel against God, they lost the battle. This angel had his title taken away and goes by names such as the dragon, old serpent, The Devil and Satan, He is also known as The Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil, let us take a closer look at this fallen angel
We are given this fallen angel’s original title-Lucifer which means light bearer or one who brings the truth. He had the job of bringing God’s message to man but rebelled because of pride. He says, I will, I will, I will-God says he will be brought down to hell to the sides of the pit. Hell is a whole heap of negative conditions with the ultimate hell being the lake of fire. Let’s look further at this fallen angel.
We see clearly that Satan the Devil was in the Garden of Eden, he was covered in precious stones which radiated bright light and conducted the heavenly worship. He was perfect when he was created until wickedness was found in him. His beauty and wisdom caused him to become puffed up with pride and he plotted a coup. Pride is a very dangerous thing leading to sin making one puff themselves up against the creator. Let us see the biblical definition of sin.
1 John 3:4
Sin is breaking God’s commandments, we read that man must live by every word that God speaks so Lucifer deviated and was cast out of heaven along with the other rebellious angels to the earth and he was given the name Satan (slanderer) and the Devil (astray or distant) Let us see what Satan the Devil looks like.
Ezekiel 1:1, 4-10
Ezekiel saw visions of God and four living creatures that accompanied him which he describes, let us see what they are called.
They are called Cherubims, so now we know what Satan the Devil looks like.
Genesis 3:1-6 Hold your spot
The woman confirmed what God had said but Satan contradicted the word of God and persuaded her to listen to him instead of God because of the reward of them being their own God. Let us see if they ate an apple or if it was something else
She listened to Satan’s lies
When people know they have done wrong they try and cover their tracks. For the first time they knew fear and confessed they were naked that is without the covering of God that is walking in disobedience to his commandments. God asked who told you, you were naked? I didn’t give you that information so where did you get it? Have you communicated with Satan the Devil which I commanded you not to? The mans response was to blame God….That woman you gave me!
Both man and woman tried to find an excuse but were all guilty, The man being the leader could have overruled his wife but went along with her and so yielded their rightful place to govern to Satan.
Revelation 12:1-2, 5
This woman who brought forth the man child is Israel and the man child is Jesus who is to rule all the nations with solid authority.
Jacob is the Father of the twelve sons who are the heads of the twelve tribes of Israel, Joseph his son had a dream that the sun, the moon and the eleven stars bow down to him. His Father understood the dream when he understood that he Jacob was the sun, the moon represents the women who gave birth to his other eleven sons and the eleven stars the eleven sons.
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ his son. Man was created to become an immortal in the God family by communicating and obeying what Jesus taught who is The tree of Life but now he has sinned by following Satan the chief sinner let us see the judgement passed.
Genesis 3:16-20, 22-24
The woman’s punishment was having extreme pain in childbirth and that the man would rule over her. The man’s punishment for listening to his wife, the ground was going to be cursed, he was going to have to work hard all his life in sorrow, he was going to have to sweat until he returned unto the ground, for out of it he was taken:for dust thou art and unto dust shalt thou return. (Man wasn’t going to die and go to heaven)
So, man has brought a death sentence upon himself and died the same day he was created, let us look at this.
2 Peter 3:8
One day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day. Let us look at the oldest man to ever live.
Genesis 5:1-8, 25-27
The oldest man to ever lived was Methuselah who died at 969 years, no man made it to one thousand, man died on the same day he was created so the seven days are seven thousand years God has given man. He has put the number seven as his signature upon his creation.
Seven days in a week, seven colors in the rainbow, seven notes in music, seven angels before his throne, seven churches spanning the ages and seven things our creator hates.
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren
This clothing of skins was a temporary covering until the final solution for sin should be revealed.
