Why this lesson? The God of this bible is a God of order, he hasn’t left us in the dark, he has given us this life manual full of instructions. He tells us what he requires of us and tells us how to serve him and gave his word to the church to teach all the world so let us establish who the church is.
Israel is the church but was it Israel only?
Exodus 13:37-38, 49.
A mixed multitude came out with them, foreigners who saw what The God of Israel did to Egypt and it’s gods. Egypt represents this world, full of oppressive governments and god’s without number. One law shall be to all.
One law for everyone, not one for Israel and one for everyone else!
Israel the church made of spiritual Israelites and non Israelites who through faith have become spiritual Israelites must teach the word of God to all the nations because Israel are the priests.
Leviticus 23:1, 4-8
These are the feasts of the Lord, not the feasts of Israel, therefore if we say we are bible Christians we are to be keeping these feasts and if we are not then what church do you belong to and which God are you serving? Holy convocations/gatherings. The 14th day of the 1st month at evening is the Lords Passover and on the 15th day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread which must be kept for 7 days. The 1st and the 7nd day we must have a holy gathering and do no servile work.
Exodus 12:1-3, 5-7, 12-14
The month Abib is the first month of the year (Deuteronomy 16:1)
This lamb represents Jesus who would be killed at Passover in the evening. Our sins had to be dealth with before we could be made sin free and it is the blood that atones for our sins. We are saved according to our faith, if we believe God we put ourselves under the covering of the blood which would be a sign to pass over our dwelling place, so we won’t be destroyed with the unbelievers. It is not our nationality that saves us but our faith/belief and acting upon the commandments of God.
1 Corinthians 5:7-8
Purge out the old leaven/sin that you may be a new lump/sin free for Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.
1 John 3:4
Sin is breaking the commandments of God.
Exodus 12:15-17, 21-22, 29-30, 33-34, 39
Leavened bread/cakes/biscuits with yeast or other raising agents in it must not be found in our dwellings for seven days. At the beginning of creation God gave man seven days (2 Peter 3:8) one day with the lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. No servile work apart from preparing your meals. After applying the blood to our doorpost stay indoors, this was a life and death matter. The leavening agent in the flour didn’t have time to rise so when they baked the cakes it was unleavened.
The children of Israel came out from Egypt on the 15th day of the first month Abib not on the 14th so Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread are two separate days although they go together.
Passover must come before the feast of unleavened bread so when things seem out of place we do what the book say.
2 Peter 1:19-21
Prophecy is solid evidence and the scriptures are from Genesis to Malachi.
We want understanding we have to go to the law. We had to be made sin free first and then remain sin free. God doesn’t do ritual, all his feast days have great meaning and purpose which are to be taught in their seasons.
The Lord has given seven annual Sabbaths or High days apart from the regular Saturday Sabbath days, they are Passover, The Feast of Unleavened bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles and the Eight day feasts. Let us see how this Good Friday/Easter Sunday doctrine came into being.
The translators didn’t use the law and the prophets so human philosophy prevailed when they heard the term sabbath they thought the day before must be Friday.
Jesus said as Jonah was in the whale’s belly three days and three nights so would he be in the grave. Friday evening to Saturday evening is Friday night, one night, Saturday is one day and Saturday night one night which gives us two nights and one day. We can’t go to Sunday.
Mary Magdalene came to the grave Sunday morning while it was still dark, and Jesus was gone!
Jesus the messiah/anointed one died in the middle of the week on a Wednesday Passover
Under the law of animal sacrifices when the people sinned, a clean sinless animal had to be killed. The priest would dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before the veil/curtain which separated the holy place from the most holy place. Seven times representing the 7 days or seven thousand years God has given to man.
Jesus is on the cross and when he had cried aloud, he died, and the veil of the temple was split in two signifying the end of animal sacrifices.
1 Corinthians 12:23-30
Partaking in the Passover in an unworthy manner makes us guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord and we must examine ourselves therefore because if we don’t this causes us to be weak in the faith, sick and some even die.
Genesis 17:1, 9-14, 24-29
Braham had been dealing with the Lord beforehand through testings, but the time came for the covenant to be established and once Abraham knew what God required he obeyed.
Man has made up his own church and placed a sign Christian upon it with paganized holi-day of Easter, Lent, communion every Sunday or 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Sunday, Christmas and Sundays worship. the Lord turned a blind eye to it because you didn’t know about these things before but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.
