Come aside and rest for a while

Why a lesson like this? – We live in an age where everything is so fast paced, there are not enough hours in the day to get the work load out. The so called austerity measures have reduced the workforce to bare bones with an increase in demand to do more.

Some don’t even have time to eat and by the time we get to bed our minds are so tired it doesn’t switch off. Sleep deprivation is a serious thing and some of us have got so accustomed to it that we live on adrenaline rush. I see people drinking high energy drinks and loads of strong coffee as a crutch to get through the day. Get to the stop lights which some people think is permanently green. When we do stop we see the ladies putting on makeup and the brothers on the phone or laptops and get so into it that the lights change and the horns start to blear as tempers flare. We weren’t meant to live like this.
1 John 5: 19
The whole world lieth in wickedness, why is this?

Sin is the transgression of the law, breaking the commandments, laws and statutes of God which brought death. Once we repent (turn) from our transgression and start obeying God, he blots out all record of our sins.
Colossians 2: 8 – 10, 15
Christ Jesus is the head of all principality and powers (rule and authority) Jesus spoiled principalities and powers making an open shew of them. Wherever he went he cast out devils, he healed the sick and raised the dead, showing his supreme power and authority over the fallen angel Satan and his minions. However. Let us see what we are really up against.
Ephesians 6: 10 - 18
Our fight is not against flesh and blood beings but against spiritual host of wickedness in high places. Satan works through mankind when we yield to his will through our flesh instead of serving God.
Ephesians 4: 17 – 18, 20 – 23, 27
Once we know the truth of the word of God we have to have a new mindset, we can’t live as the old man/woman use to. We must not give the devil a foothold. We may have had sinful habits and the devil will always look to exploit this.
1 Corinthians 2: 16
We have the mind of Christ because his word instructs us but it is one thing to have the mind of Christ but another to employ it.

If we continually have no peace, it is a good indicator of our mindset. Let Paul tell us how it is.

Whichever mindset we yield to is the one who will rule, this is a moment by moment situation.

2 Kings 6: 12 – 17
The king of Syria warred against Israel but whatever strategy he planned the Lord revealed it to the prophet Elisha and the plan came to nothing. The king thought there has to be someone in my court betraying me until someone told him it was Elisha responsible. The king sent an army to get Elisha and Elisha’s servant saw the great Syrian army with his natural eyes he panicked, Elisha has no such concern and pray’s the Lord to open his servant’s eyes to see.

Fainted (dizziness, sudden loss of consciousness) scattered and as sheep without a shepherd. Jesus told us to pray the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. This means workers.
John 4: 6 – 7
Jesus knew what it was like to be tired and weary and thirsty, he also cried, he knew what it was like to be mocked, hated, lied upon, bullied, harassed, beaten up, insulted, rejected, called names, was stabbed and bled, felt pain, teased, spat upon, betrayed by a friend, uncared for, threatened, hated by his own people, tormented, suffer, no bed to sleep in, no place to call his own, abandoned, tortured, denied justice, rejected by God, let down and tasted death for everyone.
Mark 6: 31
No change today – the system is designed to make us faint and work us to death. Here in the UK they have increased the age of retirement after spending off our money, they want us to drop dead, so we don’t get the chance to eat a little bit of our hard labour. They have sentenced us to hard labour in this satanic system! Jesus recognized it and said time out! Most of us don’t know how to rest and relax, someone or something seems to always want to invade our space so we get no rest, and we have been so driven/conditioned to become human doers.
Luke 16: 8
The children of the world are very quick off the mark, they understand the system. When the workload increases they take time off, party all weekend and ring in sick or outright refuse to take on anything over and above that will stress them out. They ease upon us with some sweet smile and say, oh can you just do this for me and oh I forgot can you do this as well (fool) We just take it all on and the more we do is the more the load increases because we feel as the servants of God we should comply. Our God didn’t intend for us to be fools! You have the power to say no and don’t be surprised if they come back at you saying, I thought you were a Christian and quote scriptures to you too. Satan did to Jesus.

A day with the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. God has given man seven thousands years to straighten himself out and enter his day of rest. This seventh day, the Sabbath sanctified from creation represents the millennium reign of Jesus Christ at this return.
Hebrews 3: 1 – 2, 6 – 18
We are being told not to follow the example of the unbelieving Israelites who didn’t make it into the Promised Land, neither make the first resurrection and have excluded themselves from God’s rest.
Hebrews 4: 1 – 12
The works of God were finished from the foundation of the world! The gospel was preached to them of old, it’s the same gospel we preach today. Jesus is Jehovah!
This world has known no peace and has had no rest since man listened to Satan and war has been decreed to the end, we have been given a second chance to become immortals in the right side of the Kingdom of God and enter into rest. The Lord has given us his Sabbath day to come aside and rest, and the seven annual feast days outlining his glorious plan. When will this day of rest be established?
Revelation 11: 15
One of the Lord’s feast days is the Memorial of The Blowing of Trumpets. The trumpet announces the coming of the Lord. When the seventh angel sounds his trumpet there was great voices in heaven saying the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever.
